Solution Overview
The Evolution system uses battery-powered sensors to monitor water temperatures and detect leaks in real time. Using AWS IoT Core for cloud integration, the system sends alerts via text, phone, or email, allowing hotel staff to address issues immediately. LoRaWAN technology ensures long-range connectivity throughout large hotel facilities, reducing the need for wired infrastructure.
The Result
Since its launch, Evolution has been implemented in over 100 properties across North America, protecting 12,000+ rooms and detecting over 2,000 issues, including 400+ leaks. The system’s rapid detection capabilities have prevented significant water damage and reduced maintenance costs. In one notable instance, a hotel saved nearly $49,665 annually by fixing a leak detected by Evolution. With installation times under 2 hours and a 10-year battery life, the solution significantly enhances hotel operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.
